First I would like to ask that you dont completely judge me on these two drawings alone. These are pretty quick sketches (especially the right one) so I can ask for some opinions.

The right drawing is one of my first sketches and was meant to go on when I made it in illustrator/photoshop. Well after playing around for a few weeks I decided that nothing I did in Adobe had the affect I wanted. I liked the imperfections, the pencil pressure, and blending control that I had with pencils (left). I would like to know if I can do the entire thing in pencil. Does it look good / great / just alright to you guys or does it look unfinished or unprofessional? The left drawing isnt as cleaned up as it would be but I just wanted to show a step in the right direction. The colors, shapes, and background cross hatches will also change a bit. I havent worked on the turtles yet so for now Im concentrating more on "water" (unless you have ideas because Im always open to suggestions).

Also - are the swirls better with more purple (left) or more green (right)? The green would coordinate with the turtle but the purple might be a better color with all the blues. I'm thinking about a white shirt because Ive used white as my base background color.

Anyone have any ideas for the title? Right now its A Turtle's Life but thats pretty generic unless thats okay.
