Photoshop Files

When sizing an image to print just doing image size and changing it to 300 from low res isnt going to work. You will probably have to re do it.

A good standard size to send a design over would be about 13"x18"

2) When uploading a design our tool can take files up to 40mb. Some things to think about when sending your file over.
your art board should be cropped to the edges of your design with out cutting anything off.

So DO NOT send a file over with all this extra artboard. It is just a waste of space

WRONG

RIGHT

also on file size. Unless you really think you need to, dont attach a placement template. We can just reference the submission. Its just taking up space.

If it is still too big to upload after all this, get in contact with Mimi and we can get it on a file sharing site.

3) With shirts that go all the way to the edge on the sides. Do not send over a file with a hard edge. Either complete the drawing or do some kind of fade off. If need be I can do a halftone fade if that goes with the style of the design

WRONG

RIGHT

Note: IsaJoe always sends over perfect files, I just used him as a quick example ;)

4) Simulated process: Now with simulated process prints (more than 8 colors) You can send us a flat file. We would prefer you didnt and just sent us a file with all the layer. You can send us a file that is flat, but try to at least get it separated from the background.

Illustrator files.

Illustrator tends to be easier to work with on my end. I love and swear by it. Some things to think about

•Make sure all your art is with in the artboard
•I hate clipping masks but i can deal with them
•If you have any brushes, patters ect. When you are scaling them be sure to object - expand appearance so they scale properly
•If you can separate each color into different layers no problem do it, dont waste too much time on this.
•Make sure to outline (or send a pdf) if you have any text. Type - create outlines.

Ill be editing this as I go on.
If any one has any other suggestions feel free to comment too, maybe I could be doing something efficiently and I would like to know!

Its black and white and says "the pantone color matching system"
