"The skies always had little fluffy clouds in 'em, and, uh... they were long... and clear and... there were lots of stars at night...." Awwww. What were your highlights?
Who grows their own veggies in the garden?
I do. Sometimes, I even eat the produce. What are you growing?
How many times did you F5 to see if they were done?
I had some unexpected spare time today and hacked a tumblr blog into my site.
Anyone care to test and report if it runs smoothly within the site? I've tested IE8 and Firefox. I haven't tested Safari/Chrome/Mozilla/... my site blog link under "about" header on the left. thanksalot! about Fisherman's Find
Thanks to bengineer, who nicely came up with the title, this shirt has been spared pretentious faux-intellectual titles like "recursed" or "mise-en-bouteille".Also a big thanks to threadless for printing onesies and kids tees; the more philosophical minded toddler finally will have something to ponder about. (And those tiny tees look adorable, last but definitely not least.) about Sir Rhyddcelot

Recently, I started listening to "spoken word" podcasts while working (= drawing/illustrating).
That goes surprisingly well together. I started with the Escape from illustration island podcasts, and now I've found the BBC radio 4 website with loads of documentories about pretty much everything. I mostly go for the art, science and history programmes. (love the soothing and polished BBC voices by the way. very relaxing) But there must be a whole word of other audio to listen to out there on the internetz. I'd love to hear your non-music choices that you listen to while working!
One of the best things from my DJ years was the opportunities it gave me to travel. (I did gigs abroad on a regularish basis)
I like travel a lot better when you are somehow participating in something locally. People put you in the spare bedroom to skimp on hotel costs and show you around and take you to places you'd never discover with the lonely planet in yer hand. You get a bit under the surface of a city that way, which you don't have so much when city tripping and renting hotel rooms. But being an illustrator is much, much more homey. I wonder how to mix travel into that job a bit more? I'm kinda exploring the exhibition and art show route, but surely there are more options? Anyone care to share their experiences and ideas? |
I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
