California is one of the hardest places to live from what I hear. Several of my friends have moved out there and had to return less than a year cuz all their money was shot and they couldn't find a job even at a diner.
don't you have friends there though? that'd probably make it easier
i did something a little like that. went out on a tourist visa for a couple of months at a time. i think your stay in the US is limited to 90 days before you have to leave on a standard tourist visa. and if they catch you you're unlikely to be let in again
i wouldn't marry someone for a green card...haven't you seen that one movie with ryan reynolds and sandra bullock!?!? they almost went to jail. and died ...and every other bad thing you can think of.... :P
Your biggest issues would be getting a visa (my wife's friend's fiance tried to get one and was shot down) and the cost of living on the west coast. But if your heart is set on it, you'll find a way to make it happen. Best of luck Bram.
It was really close to bankruptcy. They are cutting spending, having people work furlough days, and they even had a massive government "garage sale/yard sale."
I heard on the radio today that Georgia won't have any money by next week if the federal government doesn't give the state like a $70 billion loan.
Oh, there are all kinds of things wrong with California. I would recommend people not attend school in California. Budget cuts on top of tuition hikes have made things ridiculous.
